Hi Matthew, my name is Mark Soster and I would just like to congratulate you on your wonderful book Property 101. A few weeks ago I had a "financial awakening" and began devouring all the books I could find on the subject, however I keep coming back to yours. After 3 reissues from the library I think it easier now just to buy it. Wonderfully simple yet complex enough to require multiple reads and note taking. It has taken a lot of the fear away with regards to property investment but also tempered me with caution. Without it I would probably have stupidly invested anywhere but Auckland, telling myself it’s too expensive, I now appreciate why would you invest anywhere else? The numbers never lie, in a 20 year plan then Auckland is King for capital gain. As a fan of maths (the only perfect thing on earth?) I can see how each opportunity can be ruthlessly examined on a purely financial level. This letter is to express my appreciation for the assistance and encouragement of both Anthony Lipscombe and particularly John Heaslip over the last financial year. The period since activating my trading trust has been one of considerable stress, as well as personal development, as I embarked on this as a relative business neophyte with virtually no awareness of the contemporary requirements of running a business, particularly the financial records aspect. During much of this period I have therefore felt considerable out of my depth.  However I have been lucky enough to have had the benefit of the advice and support of John Heaslip in rationalizing what was a fairly chaotic set of records of the first year property trading. I am able to say that John in particular, has been unstinting in his attention to my needs and has done so in a manner which has never alluded to my extremely rudimentary grasp of managing a business, or even of being unable to set out a spread sheet properly.  The result of the above guidance is that now, although my trading trust would still not be able to operate without the advice of GRA, I do least feel a sense of satisfaction that I have got to my present point without major disaster and that my property trust does now have some kind of firmer basis for any future activities - Name withheld by request

To educate you must entertain. Property School was both informative and fun. I could not have coped with a boring session after a day in the office. I read Matthew’s book Property 101 and then came to Property School. I have to say there is nothing 101 about either of them. Between the book and Property School you learn that there is a lot more to property investing than meets the eye. I attended the GRA function last night - it was excellent, and goodness your knowledge is like an encyclopaedia! Phenomenal. We have already had an initial free consult with John Rowe, have attended one of Matthew's info evenings, and are already booked for Property School. I've read Tax Structures and am reading Property 101. We are very interested in moving to you for accounting also - our current accountant is lovely, and his fees are very low, but the more I'm learning, the more I'm realising this sweet man has oftentimes not steered us in the best directions, and definitely never asset structured us properly - and that is all in the plans to get sorted thx to getting to know GRA. - Tat & Trip - June 2016
